Member Benefits
There are many benefits for members of the North Texas Home Builders Association (NTHBA). For one, a member is automatically a member of the Texas Association of Builders (TAB).
The TAB and the NTHBA are positive forces in government affairs in Austin.
Lobbying — through the TAB, the NTHBA provides advocacy at the Texas State Capitol and with the agencies that regulate the home building industry.
Tracking Legislation — In cooperation with the NTHBA, TAB’s professional government relations team tracks all legislation that potentially impacts the housing industry.
Regulatory Agencies — Through the TAB staff, the NTHBA monitors the state agencies that regulate the residential construction industry. TAB and NTHBA are your guides to compliance with existing and new government rules and regulations and laws.
Relationships with State Officials — NTHBA and TAB have built and maintain relationships with elected officials and regulatory agency personnel whose opinions and decisions directly affect the home building industry.
Rally Day — The NTHBA participates in Rally Day at the state capitol. This event occurs every two years during the regular legislative sessions. On Rally Day, TAB members (including NTHBA members) visit their state representatives and senators at the Texas Capitol to offer a unified message to the elected officials.
HOMEPAC — The Texas Association of Builders Political Action Committee (HOMEPAC) is the only group whose sole mission is to guard your interests in Texas’ political arena. A strong PAC ensures legislative lobbying power to protect against legislation that negatively affects the home building industry. Contac TAB for more information on joining HOMEPAC.
